OR MUZZLE DEVICE AND PISTOL, AND COULD RESULT IN
INJURY TO THE SHOOTER OR THOSE NEARBY. THE BORE OF
THE SUPPRESSOR OR MUZZLE DEVICE MUST ALIGN WITH
THE BORE OF THE BARREL. IF THE PISTOL IS FIRED WITH
THE SUPPRESSOR OR MUZZLE DEVICE MISALIGNED THE
SUPPRESSOR OR MUZZLE DEVICE WILL BE DAMAGED, THE
PISTOL MAY ALSO BE DAMAGED AND COULD RESULT IN
INJURY TO THE SHOOTER OR THOSE NEARBY.
Select a suppressor or muzzle device that is rated for use with the caliber
of your FN 509; the caliber is marked on the back of the barrel and is
visible through the ejection port. Use only suppressors or muzzle devices
compatible with the thread pattern on the FN 509.
To install a suppressor or muzzle device on your FN 509:
1. Remove the thread protector from the muzzle of the pistol. The thread
protector is attached with right-
hand threads and should be
removable without tools.

2. Choose your suppressor or
muzzle device and follow the
manufacturer’s instructions to
ensure the suppressor is in good
working condition and is
appropriate for use on your FN
509. The suppressor or muzzle
device must be equipped with ½"- 28 right-hand threads to be
properly installed.
