21.2. OTHER ELECTRONIC SIGHTS
1. Completely unload the pistol as
described in Section 16.
2. Disassemble the pistol as
described in Section 17.1.
3. Use a T10 TORX
®
wrench to
remove the two screws that hold
the slide cap in place and
remove the slide cap (Figure 33).
4. Install the sight onto the slide, lining up the holes in the sight with the
holes in the slide (Figure 37). These sights do not require a mounting plate.
5. Prior to final assembly, make sure the screws are the correct length,
diameter and thread. See section 24 for additional mounting
screw information.
Apply a drop of medium-strength threadlocker to the mounting screws.
6. Tighten #5 screws to 15 in-lbs. and 20 in-lbs. for #6 screws.
NOTICE!
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN THE SCREWS.

7. Assemble the pistol as
described in Section 17.3. The FN sight is
shown on the FNX™-45 Tactical in Figure 37.
8. Zero the sight according to the sight manufacturers’ instructions.
