Before first use, clean coffeemaker thoroughly following cleaning instructions. Always use the coffeemaker on a dry, level, heat-resistant surface, away from any edge. With the basket and stem removed, fill the coffeemaker with COLD water to the desired cup level. Marks on inside of the coffeemaker show cup levels.
5. Place the cover on the coffeemaker and turn to lock into the handle slots. Note the arrows on the cover for correct direction. To reduce coffee spills, especially if the coffeemaker is tipped over, make sure that the cover has been turned until it is completely locked into the handle slots. Note: Moving an appliance containing hot liquids is not recommended. If you must move the coffeemaker, extreme caution should be used.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR HEATING WATER Plain water may be heated in your coffeemaker. Simply follow steps in “Instructions for Making Coffee,” without adding coffee grounds. The inside of the coffeemaker may darken after heating water. This is normal and does not affect the coffeemaker or the water heated. See special cleaning instructions with Cream of Tartar on the next page. Other than making coffee or heating water, no other liquid should be heated in the coffeemaker to prevent damage to the heating unit.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Turn off and unplug the coffeemaker. Allow coffeemaker to cool completely. Drain any remaining coffee. Wash the basket, stem, and cover in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. These parts may be washed in the dishwasher, top rack only. Clean the inside of the coffee maker by filling with warm, soapy water about one-third of its capacity. Scour the heating unit well (where the stem fits) with the special cleaning tool provided and a scouring pad.
PRODUCT WARRANTY Appliance 1 Year Limited Warranty Focus Electrics, LLC (“Focus Electrics”) warrants this appliance from failures in the material and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of original purchase with proof of purchase, provided the appliance is operated and maintained in conformity with the provided Instruction Manual. INSTRUCTIONS POUR CHAUFFER DE L’EAU Vous pouvez chauffer de l' eau plate dans votre cafetière pour une utilisation avec des boissons instantanées. Suivez simplement les étapes de la section “Instructions pour la préparation du café,” sans ajouter le café moulu. Il est possible que l' intérieur de la cafetière devienne plus foncé une fois que vous aurez chauffé de l' eau. C' est tout à fait normal et cela n' affecte pas la cafetière ni l' eau chauffée.

Lavez le panier, la tige, et le couvercle à l' eau chaude savonneuse à l' aide d' un torchon à vaisselle ou d' une éponge. Rincez et séchez. Ces pièces peuvent être lavées au lavevaisselle, sur la grille supérieure uniquement. Nettoyez l' intérieur de la cafetière en la remplissant d' eau chaude savonneuse à environ un tiers de sa capacité.

No permita que quede agua o café dentro de la cafetera de la tarde a la mañana. Nota: • • Una pequeña cantidad de humo u olor puede ocurrir al calentar el aparato electrodoméstico debido a la liberación de aceites usados en la fabricación – esto es normal.
• • • Mientras se esté utilizando, la parte inferior del aparato electrodoméstico debe estar en todo momento cubierta de líquido. Si el aparato electrodoméstico llegase a secarse, ello podría causar un sobrecalentamiento y dañar los componentes internos, lo cual anulará la garantía. Tras cada uso, es sumamente importante vaciar la cafetera por completo y lavarla y secarla antes de utilizarla de nuevo. No permita que quede agua o café dentro de la cafetera de la tarde a la mañana.
LIMPIEZA ESPECIAL Si la cafetera se utiliza diariamente, se requiere una limpieza especial cada 2 semanas, o cada semana si se utiliza para calentar agua, a fin de limpiar minuciosamente el pozo de la unidad de calentamiento. Si este no se mantiene limpio, la cafetera no funcionará debidamente. 1. Llene la cafetera con 1 qt. (946 ml) de agua y con IGUAL CANTIDAD de vinagre blanco destilado. Si se ha formado una acumulación mineral blanca dentro de la cafetera, utilice 2 tazas adicionales de vinagre.
