2.5.5.3 AV/C
Use these settings in PLAYBACK and other situations where the
FS-2/2E is controlled by an external FireWire device (such as a DV
NLE system).
There three options in this sub-menu:
•
Normal Mode - default - In this mode, recordings are
captured to a single base file until STOP is triggered, or the
nine minute file size limit is reached.
•
Index at TC - In this mode, recordings are continuous until a
break in the incoming timecode stream is detected, or the
nine minute file size limit is reached. At that time, a new file
is automatically created. No frames are lost during the
transition to a new clip.
•
Index at Scene - In this mode, recordings are continuous
until a scene break is detected in the incoming video stream,
or the nine minute file size limit is reached. At that time, a
new file is automatically created within one second of the
scene change. No frames are lost during the transition to a
new clip. Refer to the note under Local mode regarding
index markers.
AV/C does not function completely with all NLE systems.
