RectificationAudio unit display
Message to indicate no cassette tape is
contained within the tape mechanism. Load a
cassette tape into the tape player
NO TAPE
Message to prompt the user for the Keycode
and indicate the number of input attempts.
Displayed at power on after audio unit has had
battery power supply interrupted. Enter keycode
as described in chapter entitled Audio system
security
CODE ---- #
Message to inform the user to wait until next
keycode entry attempt can be made. Follow
instructions as described in chapter Audio
system security
WAIT ##:##
Message displayed when turning the audio unit
on whilst in keycode entry mode. Indicates the
number of incorrect input attempts. Follow
instructions as described in chapter Audio
system security
TRIES #
Message to inform user that radio security
system has locked the radio after repeated
incorrect keycode inputs. Contact your Ford
dealer.
LOCKED
General error message for tape fault conditions,
such as faulty tape mechanism, cassette
jammed etc. Ensure cassette tape is undam-
aged and reels can rotate freely, then re-try.
Alternatively try another cassette tape. If error
persists contact your Ford dealer
TAPE ERROR
Display message to prompt the user for the
keycode
KEYCODE....
Message to inform the user that the entered
keycode is incorrect. Follow instructions as
described in chapter Audio system security
INCORRECT
An incompatible CD has been inserted (for
example not an audio CD or MP3 CD)
