About the hard disk storage device
<Normal Screen>
Formatting the Hard disk
Carefully follow the instructions below to newly format the hard
disk properly.
Press the [ENTER/YES] key.
The drive selection display appears.
“IDE” will be flashed.
Press the [ENTER/YES] key where the “IDE” is flashed.
The menu to select the format type appears.
“****” represents the name of the drive.
<CAUTION>
Either the “Standard” or “Quick” format type can
be selected. However, make sure that the
“Standard”
format type is selected when
formatting a newly installed hard disk.
Press the [ENTER/YES] key where the “Standard” is
flashed.
The format type selected is set and “Sure?” flashes.
Press the [ENTER/YES] key while the [RECORD] key
is depressed.
The formatting process is started. The formatting
process will take some time.
When the formatting is successfully completed,
“Completed!” will light up on the display.
Press the [EXIT/NO] key (or [STOP] key) to escape from
the SETUP mode.
The Normal Screen appears indicating the beginning
of the program (P01) that is automatically created after
formatting the hard disk.

Turn ON the VF08 after plugging the power cable in the
electric outlet.
The VF08 will startup. “Unformat!” will appear on the
LCD. The menu will automatically go to the SETUP
mode.
The display showing the “Disk Format” menu appears.
