5. Click Improve Recognition to improve the image so that Windows Hello can recognize you in different
light conditions or when your appearance changes.
6. Look directly at the camera to log in with your face ID.
Detect your presence (for selected models)
Your computer supports the following HPD (Human Presence Detection) features:
Zero Touch Login: unlock or wake up the computer automatically when you are in front of it or
approaching it.
Zero Touch Lock: dim the display and lock the computer when the user presence is not detected.
To use the feature, create your face ID first. See “Log in with your face ID” on page 19.
To turn on or turn off the feature:
1. Open Lenovo Vantage, and then click Device Smart Assist.
2. Turn on or turn off the User Presence Sensing switch.
Notes:
You need to adjust your computer screen to an appropriate angle so that IR camera can recognize your
face.
Zero Touch Login does not work when your computer is in hibernation mode or has been turned off.
If the Airplane mode is enabled on your computer, these features are disabled.
Use privacy protection
Use the PrivacyGuard feature
Your computer supports the PrivacyGuard feature. When the feature is enabled, it darkens screen and
reduces visibility from side angles to protect screen content against visual hacking. By default, the
PrivacyGuard feature is disabled. You can press F12 or Fn+D to enable it. You will be prompted by the on-
screen icon
or every time the feature is enabled or disabled.
The privacy level of this feature varies depending on the screen brightness level, the contrast ratio, and the
physical environment where you are using this feature.
