Multiple Broadband Devices
If you already have a broadband device connected and a new, previously unknown
broadband device is connected, Sprint Smart View prompts you to pick which device you
want to use. Depending on what is selected for Mobile Devices in the Selection column of
the Device List on the Hardware tab of the Settings window, one of two pop-up windows
is displayed.
If Manual is selected for Mobile Devices in the Selection column, when you insert a
previously unknown device, select one of the following options:
Use the new device this time and make it your default device from now on.
Use the new device this one time only.
Do not use the new device at this time.
Click OK after you have selected an option.
If Automatic is selected for Mobile Devices in the Selection column, when you insert a
previously unknown device, select one of the following options:
Use the new device this time and assign it the highest priority.
Use the new device this time and assigning it the lowest priority.
Do not use the new device at this time.
Click OK after you have selected an option.
With Automatic selected, you can change the device priority on the Hardware tab of the
Settings window.
Locking and Unlocking Your Sprint Mobile Broadband
Device
You can lock your Sprint Mobile Broadband device to prevent it from being used by
unauthorized individuals. A locked device cannot be used to establish a connection until
it has been unlocked.
Locking the Device
1. Select Lock Device from the Tools menu. The Enter Lock Code window appears.
2. Enter the current Lock Code in the space provided.
