Get Started Congratulations on your purchase of the C Spire 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot. This section gives you all the information you need to set up your device and service the first time. With the C Spire 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot, you can access the C Spire 4G LTE network, the nation’s only personalized 4G LTE network. The built-in Wi-Fi tethering function allows you to share up to 10 times faster than 3G connection with other Wi-Fi equipped devices such as laptops, tablets, smart phones, and more.

Insert and Charge Your battery To insert and charge the battery, follow the below steps. 1. Lift and open the battery cover. 2. When inserting the battery, align the battery contacts with the contacts in the battery compartment and slide the battery into the battery compartment. 3. Replace the cover, and press the four sides of the battery cover until it clicks into each notch.
4. Connect the one end of the USB cable to the travel charger and also connect the other end of the USB cable to the micro USB port on the bottom side of your 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot. 5. Plug the travel charger into the appropriate electrical outlet to charge the battery. The charging status LED will be lit red while charging the battery. The LED color will change to green when the battery is fully charged.
Power Your 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot On and Off Press and hold the Power Button ( ) on the side of your 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot until the LCD turns on and displays the C Spire power-on animation. To turn off the device, press and hold the Power Button ( Spire power-off animation. ) again until the LCD starts to display the C Activate Your 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot ● When you receive 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot, it may or may not be activated and ready to use.
Manage Your Account Manage your C Spire account from your computer or any phone. Opening the 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot Web Browser Interface To use the Web browser interface, open the Web browser on your computer, tablet or Wi-Fi device and type http://cspire-admin or http://192.168.10.1 into the web browser address window and press Enter or Return. Go to ―Your 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot Web Browser Interface‖ on the page 14 to see details of Web Browser Interface features.

Account Activation Your 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot is activating. The first time you insert the 4G LTE SIM card, your $G LTE Mobile Hotspot automatically activate your account. Note: If you are having difficulty with activation, contact C Spire Customer Service by calling 1-855CSPIRE5 (277-4735) Searching for a network signal Your 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot is searching for network service. Only the connected device and battery icons appear.
Data usage reset Press and hold While the data usage is displayed, press and hold button for 2 seconds. A warning message will display, button for 2 seconds. press Reset usag e? Yes: hold d ow n for 2 sec No: p ress to return to main display or press and hold button for 2 seconds again to reset the data usage to zero. Note: SSID(Wi-Fi network name) & Wi-Fi security key display button once to keep current usage data and The usage data is measured by your 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot for your reference only.

It allows you to manage and monitor the Internet connection between your computer and the C Spire network.
The main menu appears down across the top of the browser interface and allows for ease of Web browser interface navigation. Information regarding your current network connection can be seen in the Network Connection Box displayed down the left side of the main page. This box displays both 3G and 4G LTE service signals which are available.
● Service Type: Displays the service type your 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot currently has acquired. ● Signal strength bar: Displays your current signal strength. Supports 0- 6 levels of signal strength. ● Connection time: Displays the time your 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot has been connected. ● Connection button: Connects/Disconnects you to/from an available network. The following table provides your 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot status and connection button descriptions.

3G Device and Network Information 3G Device ● Technology – type of network you are connected to.
Check Usage Menu The Check Usage menu allows you to review your usage history online. Please ensure that you have an Internet connection. Selecting the Check Usage menu displays your wireless data usage to date. To reset usage data, click the reset button. Upon clicking Yes, the usage data will be reset to 0 and the date will be set to the current date.
Wi-Fi Menu The Wi-Fi menu allows you to review and change your 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot Wi-Fi tethering configuration. In order to see the Wi-Fi menu, login as Administrator . The default administrator password is ―admin‖. You can change the default Administrator password from the Setting menu.
To modify the Wi-Fi Profile: 1. Enter new Network Name (SSID). The default SSID is C Spire 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot XXXX, where XXXX are the last 4 digits of the Wi-Fi MAC ID of the device. 2. Select the proper 802.11 mode. The default mode is 802.11b/g/n. 3. Select the Wi-Fi channel number you want to use. The default setting is ―Auto‖. 4. Enter your Wi-Fi security level. The default setting is Open (NO AUTH) 5. Enter your Wi-Fi password. The Wi-Fi password requires at least 8 characters.
MAC Address – Media Access Controller or physical address of your 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot IP Address – IP address assigned to the device by your 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot Hostname – Network name for the connected device. (if available) Date/Time – Date/time your connected device was detected by your 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot.. Click Refresh button to renew the connected devices list.
Settings Menu The Settings menu allows you to set various setting options including Connection Options, Network Setting, Security Settings, VPN Passthrough, and Advanced Settings. In order to see all settings, you must login as Administrator . The default Administrator password is ―admin‖. You can change the default Administrator password from the Advanced Setting menu. Connection Options When you open the Connection Options menu, the following choices are available: Enable / Disable Auto Connection 1.

Note: If you click Connect button under the signal strength bars, Enable Auto Connection will be cleared automatically regardless of whether Enable Auto Connection was checked before rebooting the device. Change Your Connection Options 1. Select a connection option. 2. Click Save. Note: If the device is not activated, the options will be unavailable (grayed out).
● Start DHCP Address – Your 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot will assign IP address beginning with this IP address ● End DHCP Address Range – Your 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot will assign IP address ending with this IP address. Customer DNS ● Custom DNS - allows you to use a customized DNS rather than the one assigned by your network. To set the custom DNS: 1. Select Enable Custom DNS. 2. Enter your Custom DNS IP address. 3. Click Save. Important: Changing LAN settings can result in connection malfunction.
Security Setting When you open the Security Setting menu, the following choices are available: Port Forwarding ● IP Address – Enter IP address to forward ● Protocol– Both / UDP / TCP ● External Port – Enter external port range ● Internal Port – Enter internal port range ● Comment – Enter comments for the port forwarding setting Firewall ● Protocol– Select protocol to use for Firewall.
DMZ ● Enable DMZ – check to enable DMZ feature ● DMZ Address – enter DMZ address ● Click Save. Important: Changing security settings can result in connection malfunction. Please refer to C Spire’s recommendation.
GPS Access 1. Check or uncheck the Enable GPS – check to enable DMZ feature 2. Click Save.
Advanced Settings When you open the Advanced Settings, the following choices are available: General Settings Selecting the General Settings tab displays the following options: Advanced Settings Password The Advanced Settings Password section allows you to change the Administrator login password. To change your password: 1. Enter the original password in the Original Password field. (factory default password is admin) 2. Enter your new password in the New Password field.
3. Re-enter your new password in the Confirm New Password field. 4. Click Save. GUI configurations The GUI configurations section allows you to change the GUI displayed in the LCD window of your 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot. ● Banner - The Banner Settings allows you to change the banner displayed in the LCD window of the device. To change your banner: 1. Click the current banner window and type the new text to display on your 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot LCD display. 2. Click the Save button.
LTE Configuration The LTE Configuration box allows you to change the 4G LTE profile. To modify the LTE profile: 1. Select proper profile in the list. 2. Click Save. Important: Changing LTE profile can result in a 4G LTE connection malfunction. Please refer to C Spire’s recommendation. 3G Configuration The 3G Configuration box allows you to modify the 3G device configuration. To modify the 3G configuration: 3. Select Profile Number 4. Click Save.
Automatic Version Check If the box ―Enable notification‖ is checked, the Web User Interface will provide the pop up dialog notifying that a new software (SW) update is available. If you click Yes, downloading will start and automatically update the Web User Interface software (SW) to the latest version.
Check System Upgrade The Check System Upgrade box reflects your current software version and allows you to upgrade the Web browser interface as needed. To get the latest Web browser interface: 1. Click Check Now. 2. If the current version is the latest, you will see the following dialog: click OK. If a newer version is available, you will see the following dialog: 3. Click Yes and select a folder your want to save the software (SW) update file in your computer. Software Update To update: 1.
