Multi SSID: Select ON if you like to set up a separate guest Wi-Fi network. Your R871 will
broadcast two Wi-Fi Names.
If ON is selected for Multi SSID, Guest Wi-Fi menu will appears below Main Wi-Fi part.
And Main Wi-Fi shared Maximum Connections with Guest Wi-Fi. And selected Off, Guest
Wi-Fi menu will disappears.
Wi-Fi Name: Service Set Identifier (SSID). To change it, enter a string less than 32
characters as the name for your wireless local area network (WLAN).
Wi-Fi Password: To change, enter the new Wi-Fi password. The password needs to be at
least 8 characters long.
Authentication Method: Use this setting to select the desired type of Wi-Fi security used to
encrypt the wireless network. WPA2 is the latest and most secure method and should be
used whenever possible..
Open : Authentication and encryption won't be performed. There are risks that private
info will be intercepted or network will be used by unauthorized individuals
SHARED : Authentication via Shared Key protocol.

Encryption Method: Use this setting to select the desired type of Encryption Method used to

Maximum Connections: Choose the maximum number of the devices which connect to your

device display menu.
Display Wi-Fi Password: If ON is selected, the Wi-Fi password will be displayed on your
R871 device display menu.
Save Changes: Select your desired setting from the Authentication, Wi-Fi password and/or
available Wi-Fi connections drop down menu(s) and click Save Changes whenever you make
a change to save the new setting.
