The dictionary can pronounce any headword or
highlighted word. Just press the SPEAK key
whenever you want to hear a word.
To adjust the volume, turn the volume control
wheel on the side of the dictionary. You can
plug headphones into the headphone jack on
the other side to listen by yourself.
Try this example.
1. Press CLEAR.
2. Press DICT, if necessary, to go to the
English word entry screen.
3. Type elephant and then press SPEAK to
hear the word.
4. Press ENTER and then use the arrow
keys to highlight a word in the definition.
5. Press SPEAK to hear the highlighted
word.
6. Press CLEAR when you are finished.

You can turn the sound on or off by pressing
LIST, pressing to see Sound, and then
pressing or .
