Translating Spanish Words
Understanding Definitions
Dictionary entries consist of head-
words, parts of speech, the transla-
tion, and/or definitions. Other forms
of the word may follow the headword.
Capitalized words indicate the cat-
egory for which the word is used. Af-
ter the translation or definition, you
may see a list of usage examples.

Translating English Words
You can also use the Spanish Professor
to translate English words into Spanish.
1. Press

to change the entry
language from Spanish to English,
if needed.

To erase a letter, press

Explanation of Genders
Spanish nouns are different than
English nouns in that they must either
be masculine or feminine. Each
definition of a noun indicates which

Misspelling Words
If you enter a misspelled word, a list
of corrections appears. Highlight the
word you want and then press
enter
to see its dictionary entry.
