Installation Instructions
Please read these instructions and warnings thoroughly before beginning installation and retain for future reference.

• Rain barrel
• Meshlter
• 1overowhoseand1hoseclamp
• 1spigot,1rubbergasket,1plug
• Safetyglasses,safetygloves
• SlotheadandPhillips(crosshead)screwdrivers
• Wrench,Hacksaw
• Tapemeasureandmarker
Step 1 Locate
Choosealocationbelowadownspoutforyourrainbarrel.Thelocationmusthavelevel,rm
ground.A3'x3'pavingstonecanbeusedtoprovidestability.Avoidlocationsnearground-level
basementwindowsorwindowwells.
Step 2 Assemble
Puttherubbergasketonthespoutandplaceitthroughthreadedholeatthefrontofthe
barrel(handtightenonly,tightenenoughtopreventwaterleakage).Fitthesuppliedplug
tothesecondthreadedholeinfrontofthebarrel.Usecautionasover-tighteningcan
crackthebarrel.
Step 3 Cut Downspout
Placethebarrelbesidethedownspouttomeasureandmarkyour
requiredcut.Makesuretoallowenoughroomforthebarrelplacement
Wearing safety glasses and gloves,
cutthedownspoutusingahacksaw.
Attachyourexistingelbowspout(F)tothenewdownspoutend.
Step 4 Overow
Choosewhichsideoverowspoutyouwilluse.Bothspouts
areblockedbyaplastic.Cuttheendoftheoverowspout
byusingahacksawcutthroughtheslotmarkedattheendof
thespout.Attachtheoverowhoseusingthehoseclampanda
screwdriver. Direct the other end of the hose to wherever your
downspoutoriginallydrained,whichshouldbeeithera
splashpadorstormdrain.
Step 5 Attach Mesh Filter
Placeandsnapinthemeshlter onthetopofthebarrel

Step 6 Place
Placeassembledbarrelunderdownspoutandensureitislevelandstable.
