Battery-Powered HVAC System
(BPHS) Air Filter Replacement
The BPHS air filter is located on the inboard side of
the blower fan housing, under the cabinet, directly
behind the driver’s seat.
IMPORTANT: When replacing the air filter, use
only a Freightliner-approved air filter.
1. Park the vehicle on a level surface, set the park-
ing brake, and shut down the engine. Chock the
tires.
2. Remove the sleeper HVAC access panel on the
inboard side of the cabinet. See
Fig. 5. The
panel is held in place with four spring clips. Pull
straight out to remove it.
3. Pull the filter out of the slot. See
Fig. 9.
4. Install a new filter, making sure that it is com-
pletely seated.
5. Install the access panel.
