Avoid Service Checklist
Before callin g for ser vice, review this lis t. It m ay save you both ti me and

Freezer does not run
Check to en sure t hat f reezer is not plugg ed int o a circ uit that has
groun d fault interr upt. If you are unsur e about t he outlet, ha ve it
check ed b y a cert ifie d tech nician.
Tem perature control is in the OFF pos ition. See Setting the
Temperature Control section.
Freezer m a y n ot be plugge d in or p lug m ay be loos e. Be sure plug is
tight ly pus hed int o e lectr ica l outle t.
House f use has blo wn or cir cuit break er has tr ipped. C heck / res et

Freezer runs too much or too long
Room or outs ide weath er is too hot. It is nor m al for th e free zer to work
harder u nder t hes e cond itio ns.
Freezer has re centl y been dis connec ted for a per iod of tim e. Freezer
requires 4 hour s to c ool d ow n com pletel y.
Large amount s of warm water or hot food have been s tored rec ently.
W arm food will c ause the f reezer to run m or e until the des ir ed
tem peratur e is reach ed.

tem peratur e. T his is normal wh ile the co mpr essor work s to tran sfer
heat f rom inside the f ree zer ca binet.
