OPERATION BLOWER Controls LIGHT SWITCH The hood is operated using the (4) push-buttons edge of the hood. MEDIUM PILOT SPEED LAMP located at eye-level, on the front BLOWER ON-LOW The light switch turns the halogen lamps on and off. BLOWER HIGH SPEED / OFF SWITCH The blower on-low / off switch turns the blower on to its lowest running speed. The blower must be turned on using this switch. Turn the blower off by pressing this switch a second time.

INSTALL THE DUCTWORK (DUCTED HOODS ONL Y) _ ROOF CAP CAUTION: To reduce the risk of fire, use only metal ductwork. 1. Decide where the ductwork will run between the hood and the outside. f 2. A straight, short duct run will allow the hood to perform most efficiently. Jl 3. Long duct runs, elbows, and transitions wilt reduce the performance of the hood. Use as few of them as possible. Larger ducting may be required for best performance with longer duct runs. 4. Install a roof or wall cap.
PREPARE THE HOOD NON-DUO'rED (NON-DUCTED RECIRCULATION PLENUM HOODS ONL Y) Purchase a Non-ducted DFKTPCSOEC). recirculation KiT from your dealer (Model 1. Insert the non-ducted recirculation plenum through the support frame openings. Fig. 8. 2. Through the support frame openings fit the duct connector to the plenum locking it with a turning movement. iNSTALL THE HOOD SERRATED WASHERS Fix the hood to the support frame with (6) 3.9x9.5mm serrated washers. mounting screws and (2) MOUNTING SCREWS (3.9xg.Smrn) CONNECT DUCTWORK RETAINING SCREW (DUCTED HOODS ONL Y) 1. Use 6" round metal duct to connect the discharge collar on the hood to the ductwork above. 2. Use duct tape to make all joints secure and air tight. 3. Remove the temporary retaining screw from the lower flue and set it in place on the hood.
WIRING Note: Electrical wiring must be done by a qualified person(s) in accordance with all applicable codes and standards. This range hood must be properly grounded. Turn off electrical power at service entrance before wiring. 1. Remove the (2) screws of the upper flue and move the upper flue towards the bottom. 2. Feed 6" of power cable through the top opening of the support frame bracket (installed on ceiling) and into the wiring box.
