How to upgrade FrSky Redundancy Bus by Taranis X9D Plus Transmitter

Taranis (X9D/X9D Plus) firmware should be above 2.1.

VCC pin on FrSky Redundancy Bus Smart Port is disabled. Power on the Redundancy Bus by connecting the

RED wire to any VCC pin from CH1 to CH16.

Step1: change the orders of VCC and GND, connect the VCC wire to any middle pin from CH1 to CH16, and then

connect the other side of the Smart Port cable to the last three pins at the button of the external module bay.

Step2: download the firmware of Redundancy Bus and save it into the “FIRMWARS” folder of Taranis Plus SD

Card.

Step 3: select the firmware you need to update and long-click, choosing ”Flash External Device” to update. Step 4: wait for a while and it will return to the last menu after success.
