7.2 Troubleshooting
7.2.1 Computer and Heating Problems
Problem Probable Causes Corrective Action
A. Computer not turned on.
A. Press the ON/OFF switch to turn
the computer on.
B. No power to the fryer.
B. Verify computer power cord is
plugged in and that circuit breaker
is not tripped.
C. Computer has failed. C. Call your ASA for assistance.
D. Damaged computer wiring
harness.
D. Call your ASA for assistance.
No Display on
Computer.
E. Power supply component or
interface board has failed.
E. Call your ASA for assistance.
M3000 displays IS
VAT FULL?
YES NO after a
filtration.
A filter error has occurred due to dirty
or clogged filter pad or paper, clogged
filter pumps, improperly installed
filter pan components, worn or
missing O-rings, cold oil or filter
pump thermal overload.
Follow instructions on page 5-4
through 5-6 to clear the filter error.
If problem persists, call your ASA
for assistance.
M3000 displays
CHANGE FILTER
PAD?
Filter error has occurred, filter pad
clogged, 25 hour filter pad change
prompt has occurred or change filter pad
was ignored on a prior prompt.
Change the filter pad and ensure the
filter pan has been removed from the
fryer for a minimum of 30 seconds.
Do NOT
ignore CHANGE
FILTER PAD prompts.
A. Main power cord not plugged in.
A. Verify that both the main power
cord and 120V is fully seated in its
receptacle, locked into place and
that circuit breaker is not tripped
B. Computer has failed. B. Call your ASA for assistance.
Fryer does not heat.
C. One or more other components have
failed.
C. Call your ASA for assistance.
Fryer heats until high-
limit trips with heat
indicator ON.
Temperature probe or computer has
failed.
Call your ASA for assistance.
Fryer heats until high-
limit trips without
heat indicator ON.
Contactor or computer has failed Call your ASA for assistance.
7.2.2 Error Messages and Display Problems

M3000 display is in
wrong temperature
scale (Fahrenheit or
Celsius).
Incorrect display option programmed.
Toggle between F° to C° by pressing
and holding 3and4simultaneously
until TECH MODE appears. Enter
1658. The computer displays OFF.
Turn the computer on to check
temperature. If the desired scale is not
displayed, repeat.
