If the main unit does not turn on:
Make sure the battery is inserted.
Replace the battery with a charged one.
If the pre-amplifier does not turn on:
Try charging the battery.
If a switch or button on the main unit
does not work:
Press the switch or button firmly. Pressing the key will
produce a confirmation sound.
If the main unit does not receive radio
signals or reception is bad:
Make sure the pre-amplifier is powered on.
Make sure the receiving antenna is securely connected to
the main unit.
Check whether there are buildings etc. between the main
unit and pre-amplifiers. These can block the radio signal
from reaching the main unit. Try to bring the
pre-amplifier closer to the main unit.
The range of the radio signal is about 100 m in a place
with good visibility. (Distance between main unit and
pre-amplifier)
Try placing the pre-amplifier antenna in a higher location.
If the pipe type, pipe diameter, and
pipe length are unknown:
Use the white noise method to calculate the unknown
parameters.
* For details see "6-3 White Noise Method" on p. 76.
