onitor function to monitor the channel. In digital mode, a user can only check if
there is any activity before transmission. If yes, the two-way radio will transmit the
voice, but not to ongoing actual voice or data communication.
f) Permanent monitor: it has the same function as that of monitor (only for a handset),
i.e. allowing a user to monitor the channel to ensure that there is no activity before
transmission. The difference is that once perm anent m onitor is enabled, the
two-way radi o will b e k ept in t his m ode before p ressing t his key to di sable this
function.
g) Unused channel deletion: enable a user to temporarily delete unnecessary channels
from the scan list (e xcluding selected channels). For exa mple, when the two-way
radio is powered off and on again, deleted unused channels will resume in the scan
list.
