Ê To adjust the volume use the Windows volume control from the Start menu – Programs -
Accessories – Multimedia – Volume Control.
Ê To switch the loudspeakers on and off use the Windows volume control from the Start menu –
Programs – Accessories – Multimedia – Volume Control.
Connecting external device to S-Video Out
You can connect an external monitor, a television set or a projector to the notebook.
· Using the [Fn] + [F3] key combination you can switch back and forth between the external
monitor and the LCD screen.
Ê Switch off the notebook and the external device.
Ê Connect the external monitor to the S-Video Out socket of your notebook.
Ê First switch on the monitor and then the notebook.
Connecting external devices to IEEE1394 (FireWire)
Peripheral devices such as digital audio/video devices or other high-speed devices can be
connected via IEEE1394 (FireWire). Your notebook is equipped with an IEEE1394 (FireWire)
connection, which operates at 400 Mbit per second, as an option.
Ê Connect the peripheral device to the IEEE1394 (FireWire) connection on the left-hand side of
your notebook.
