However, you can choose a larger or smaller font.
If Windows XP is installed on your system
Under Start Control Panel Display– Appearance, select the type of font in the Font Size eld.
If Windows Vista is installed on your
system
Right-click on the desktop. Enter the
settings unde r Personalizatio n Adjust Font size (DPI ) (in
the left pan e) Continue.

Enter the settings under Start symbol (Settings) Con trol Panel Appearance and

Your notebook supports the simultaneous display on the LCD screen and an external
monitor. Pressing the key combination

+
F4
switches between LCD only, external
monitor and LC D and external monitor only. The last setting is useful if you would like
high resolution and refresh rate on an external mo nitor.

The battery is one of the most important compon ents of your notebo ok. W hen not plugged into a
mains outlet, the no tebook runs on its built-in battery. You can increase the life of the battery by
caring for the battery properly. The average battery life is around 500 charge/discharge cycles.
You can extend the battery life by taking advantage of the available energy saving functions.
