Installing the hard disk
When installing the hard disk, ensure tha t the contacts in the hard disk
compartment do not bend or become damaged. Please observe the notes
in the operating instructions for the hard disk.
Hard disk
► Slide the hard disk into the frame.
► Secure the hard disk to the frame using the 4 screws.

► Working in the direction of t he arrow (1),
inserttheharddiskwiththeframeinto
the hard disk compartment.
► Pull the hard disk by the pulling aid (2)
towards the left, in th e direction of the
arrow (3) until the contacts engage. If
necessary, push the left-hand ed ge of the
hard disk along with your finger.

► Attach the cover in the direction of
the arrow (1).
► Fasten the cover with th e screw (2).
► Install the battery again (see ""
Insertin g the battery", Page 23").
► Turn the noteb ook the right way up and place it on a flat surface.
► Reconnect the cables that you disconnected previously.

Your notebook has 512 MByte - 2 GByte of main memory installed, depending on t he up grade level.
The note book will no t start without memory modules, as no fixed main memory is insta lled.
