Switching off the notebook

Shut down the operating system properly. If
Windows 9x is installed on your notebook,
the system is shut down and the notebook is
switched off. If the notebook is not switched
off automatically, press the ON/OFF switch
(1) for approx. one second.

Close the display of the notebook (2) so that
it locks into place.

Only release the LCD lock when required.
You can protect your notebook from theft with the Kensington Lock device (3) and with a
Kensington MicroSaver.
