3 Microphone (built-in) Used for speech input.

5 Resistive-film touch
panel LCD
Referred to as “touch panel” or
“screen” in this manual.
6 LED Lit during charging on the cradle or
during reading by the scanner.
It can also be lit by an application.
7 802.11b antenna
(built-in)
Used during 11 Mbps wireless LAN
communication.
8 Bar code
scanner
Outputs the laser beam used to read
a bar code.
9 Bluetooth wireless
antenna
(built-in)
Used during 1Mbps wireless PAN
communication.
