Connecting external d evices
Connecting external devices
Under all circumstances, please observe the safety notes provided in the
"
Important notes", Page 13 chapter before connecting or disconnecting
any devices to or from your Tablet PC.
Always read the documentation supplied with the device you wish to connect.
Never connect or disconnect cables during a thunderstorm.
Never pull at a cable when disconnecting it. A lways grasp the plug.
With some de vice s, such a s USB devices, it is not necessary to switch off
the Tab let PC and the device before conne cting/disconnecting. For more
information about whether or not devices need to be switched off, please refer
to the document ation supplied with your external de vice.
Some of the external devices require special drivers (see the o perating
system an d external device documentation).
Connecting an external monitor
Micro HDMI port
HDMIport
The micro HDMI port on your device can be used to connect an external amplifier,
LCD TV or a plasma TV with an HDMI c onnection.
► Connect the data cable to t he
external device.
► Connect the data cable to the micro
HDMI port.
Some LCD televisions have only two speakers/speaker ports and therefore
cannot reproduce Dolby Digital or DTS. To play back HD MI sound, you
must change the HDMI s ound settings accordingly.
You can find the settings under Control Panel - Hardware and Sound. Deactivate the
settings for DTS Audio and Dolby Digital to enab le playback of HDMI sound.
