System expansions
Do not throw away the slot cover. For cooling, protection against fire and in order to
comply with EMC regulations, you must refit the slot cover if you remove the board.

► Push the board into the slot (1).
► Press on the retaining c lip until it you feel it engage (2).
► If necessary, connect the cables to the board.
► Fold down the drive cage (see "
Closing the drive cage", Page 42).
► Close the casing (see "
Closing the casing", Page 38).
If you have installed or removed a board, please check t he relevant PCI
slot settings in the BIOS Setup. If necessary, change the settings. Further
information is provided in the PCI board documenta tion.
Information about the installation of low p rofile boards can be found in
the "

Removing a board
► Open the casing (see "Opening t he casing", Page 37).
Board
► Fold up the drive cage (see "Opening the drive cage", Page 41).
► Disconnect the cables connecte d to the board.
