Installing/removing a SmartCard reader an d/o r
WLAN module (optional)
You can also install a SmartCard reader and/or a WLAN mo dule for wireless LAN (Local
Area Network) in the installation ba y for the 3½ inch hard disk drive.
The SmartCard reader and WLAN module can be installed together in the carrier.
However, you can also install only one of the two boards. The WLAN module is
installed in the lower slot of the carrier and the SmartCard reader in the upper slot of
the carrier. If you want to install the SmartCard reader and the WLAN module together,
first install the WLAN module. Removal is carried out in the reverse order.
Removing the carrier
► Open the casing (s ee "Opening the casing", Page 37).
► Pull the data cable connectors from the ca rrier.

► Remove the screws (1) on the right side of the ca rrier.
► Slide the carrier out of the casing in the direction of the arrow (2).
