Indicators on the d evice
The indicators are on the front of the casing. Which indicators a re available on your
device depends on the configuration level you have selected.

Indicator Description
1 Drive indicator
The indicator lights up when the CD-ROM or DVD drive of the
device is accessed. You m ust never under any circumstances
remove the CD/DVD while the indicator is lit.
2 Hard disk indicator
The indicator lights up when the hard disk drive of the device is
accessed.
3 Power-on indicator
• Indicator is illum
inated (green): The device is switched on.
• The indicator lights up oran ge or flashes green (depe nding
on the device typ e): The device is in energy-saving mode.
After being switched on with the ON/OFF switch, the device
powers up or returns to th e state it was in before it entered
energy-saving mode.
• The indicator is n
ot illuminated: The device is switched off
(power switch at 0
or disconnected from the mains) or read y.
If the device is r
eady it can be switched on with the ON/OFF
switch.
In an en ergy-saving mode the device must not be switched off with the main power
switch (if present) or disconnected from the mains, as this may result in data loss.
