Installing an accessible drive
► Open the casing (s ee "Opening the casing", Page 37).
► If you are installing the drive in the upper bay a nd a cover (optional) is
already in place, please remove it.
or
► If you are installing the drive in the lower bay, break out the pre-stamped metal
panel on the drive bay opening using a screwd river.
Do n ot throw aw ay the cover. F or cooling, protection against fire, and in order to comply
with EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) regulations, you must refitthecoverifyou
remove the drive again later (see "
Removing an accessible dri ve", Page 50).
► Adjust the required settings on the drive (also on drives which are already installed, if necessary).

► Slide the accessible drive into the casing as far as the stop (1).
► Plug the data and the power supply connectors into the drive. Make sure the polarity is correct.
► Press on the retaining clip (2) and, at the same time, slide it up slightly.
► Close the casing (see "
Closing the casing", Page 38).
It may be necessary t o modify the entry for the drive in the BIOS Setup.
