Theexposurestandardforwirelessmobilephonesemploysaunitof
measurementknownastheSpecificAbsorptionRate(SAR).TheSAR
limitsetbytheFCCis1.6W/kg.TestsforSARareconductedusing
standardoperatingpositionsasacceptedbytheFCCwiththephone
transmittingatitshighestcertifiedpowerlevelinalltestedfrequency
bands.AlthoughtheSARisdeterminedatthehighestcertifiedpower
level,theactualSARlevelofthephonewhileoperatingcanbewell
belowthemaximumvalue.Thisisbecausethephoneisdesignedto
operateatmultiplepowerlevelssoastouseonlythepowerrequired
toreachthenetwork.Ingeneral,thecloseryouaretoawirelessbase
stationantenna,thelowerthepoweroutputlevelofthephone.
Beforeaphonemodelisavailableforsaletothepublic,itmustbe
testedandcertifiedtoprovetotheFCCthatitdoesnotexceedthe
limitestablishedbytheU.S.government-adoptedrequirementforsafe
exposure.Thetestsareperformedonpositionandlocations(for
example,attheearandwornonthebody)asrequiredbyFCCforeach
model.ThehighestSARvalueforthismodelphoneasreportedtothe
FCC,whentestedforuseattheear,is0.57W/kg,andwhenwornon
thebody,is0.67W/kg.(Body-wornmeasurementsdifferamongphone
models,dependinguponavailableaccessoriesandFCC
requirements).
WhiletheremaybedifferencesbetweentheSARlevelsofvarious
phonesandatvariouspositions,theyallmeettheU.S.government
requirements.
TheFCChasgrantedanEquipmentAuthorizationforthismodelphone
withallreportedSARlevelsevaluatedasincompliancewiththeFCC
RFexposureguidelines.SARinformationonthismodelphoneisonfile

Forbodywornoperation,thisphonehasbeentestedandmeetsthe
FCCRFexposureguidelineswhenusedwithanaccessorydesignated
forthisproductorwhenusedwithanaccessorythatcontainsno
metalandwhichpositionsthehandsetataminimumdistanceof1.5
cmfromthebody.

Thisequipmenthasbeentestedandfoundtocomplywiththelimits
foraClassBdigitaldevice,pursuanttopart15oftheFCCRules.
Theselimitsaredesignedtoprovidereasonableprotectionagainst
harmfulinterferenceinaresidentialinstallation.Thisequipment
generates,usesandcanradiateradiofrequencyenergyand,if
not
ins
talledandusedinaccordancewiththeinstructions,maycause
harmfulinterferencetoradiocommunications.However,thereisno
guaranteethatinterferencewillnotoccurinaparticularinstallation.
Ifthisequipmentdoescauseharmfulinterferencetoradioor
televisionreception,whichcanbedeterminedbyturningthe
equipmentoffandon,theuserisencouragedtotrytocorrectthe
interferencebyoneormoreofthefollowingmeasures:
- Reorientorrelocatethereceivingantenna.
- Increasetheseparationbetweentheequipmentandreceiver.
- Connecttheequipmentintoanoutletonacircuitdifferentfrom
thattowhichthereceiverisconnected.
- Consultthedealeroranexperiencedradio/TVtechnicianforhelp.

AIRCRAFT
Switchoffyourwirelessdevicewhenboardinganaircraftorwhenever
youareinstructedtodosobyairlinestaff.Ifyourdeviceoffersflight
modeorsimilarfeatureconsultairlinestaffastowhetheritcanbe
usedonboard.
DRIVING
Fullattentionshouldbegiventodrivingatalltimesandlocallawsand
regulationsrestrictingtheuseofwirelessdeviceswhiledrivingmust
beobserved.
HOSPITALS
Mobilephonesshouldbeswitchedoffwhereveryouarerequestedto
dosoinhospitals,clinicsorhealthcarefacilities.Theserequestsare
designedtopreventpossibleinterferencewithsensitivemedical
equipment.
