Before Using the Handset
･ When the date and time are not set, a message appears indicating that the date and time should be set. → p.57
･ If no operation is made with FOMA terminal open, the display darkens in approximately 1 minute and darkens more
in approximately 4 minutes (except when the light setting of display is "

30 minutes pass, nothing appears on the display (Power saving). When the eco mode is set to "

When nothing appears on the display,
g blinks and indicates that FOMA terminal is in power saving mode. Also
during a voice call, FOMA terminal becomes power saving mode. By pressing any button or if there is an incoming
call, the display appears again.
When turning the power ON for the first time
As a confirmation screen appears, make settings or operations as required. The settings made here can
be changed later.
･ Even after deleting all data, the setting screen appears in the same way.

Press g on the confirmation screen indicating to make preparation for
using the mobile phone

On the screen of Voice reading, press any of " a 自動で読み上げ (Auto voice
reading)" to "
d 後で設定する (Set up later)"

･ If you press " d 後で設定する (Set up later)", and if no settings are made till
the power is turned ON next time, the setting screen appears again.
