Getting started
Connecting extern al devices
Read the documentation on the external device before connecting it.
With the exception of USB devices, always remove all power plugs
before con necting external devices!
Do not connect or disconnect cables d uring a thunderstorm.
Always take hold of the actual plug. Neve r unplug a cable by pulling the cab le itse lf.
Connect and disconnect the cables in the order described below.
Connecting the cables
► Switch off all affected de vices.

► Remove all power plugs from the grounded mains outlets.
► Connect all the cables to the device and the exte rnal devices. Please make sure that you
always observe the safety notes provided in "
Important notes", Page 12.
► Plug all data communicat ion cables into the appropriate socke ts.
► Plug all power cables into the grounded mains outlets.
USB devices are hot-pluggable. This means you can connect and disconnect
USB cables while your device is switched on.

Disconnecting the cables
► Turn off all p
ower and equipment switches.

► Remove all power plugs from the grounded mains outlets.
► Unplug all d
ata communication cables from the appropriate sockets.
► Disconnect all of the cables from the device and from the external devices.
