Operation

Switch the device on

► Press the ON/ OFF switch on the front of the device.



The power indicator glows a

nd the device is started.

Switching off the device

► Shut down the operating system in a de ﬁned manner. In Windows: via the

Start menu and the Turn Off Computer function.

► If the operating syst

em does not automatically switch the device into energy-saving

mode or switch it off,

press the ON/OFF switch until the device sw itches off.

Warning, this could

lead to a loss of data!



If the device is switched off, the device consumes a minimum of energy.

The ON/OFF switch does not disconnect the device from the mains voltage. To

completely disconnect the mains voltage , remove the power plug fro m the power socket.

er-saving mode

Due to customer requirements and requirements of the operating system, the "Wake-on-LAN"

(WoL) function is set by default. The WoL function increases the idle current slightly.

In order to me et the requirements of EU Directive “COMMISSION REGULATION

(EC) No 1275/2008 of 17 December 2008 implementing Directive 2005/32/EC”, the

default WoL settings must be changed as follows:

► To start the B IOS Setup Utility after syste m boot, press funct ion key

► In the Powe

r sub-menu, select the Low Power Soft Of f setting and switch it to enabled.

► To save the setting and exit the BIOS Setu p Utility, press function key


