Operating BIOS Setup Utility
BIOSSetupUtility
Press the
F1
key to display help on the operation of the BIOS Setup Utility. The description
of the individual settings is shown in the right-hand w indow of the BIOS S etup Utility.
With the
F3
key you can load the default settings of the BIOS Setup Utility.
Use the cursor keys
or
to select the m enu you wish to access to make changes.
The m enu is displayed on the screen.
Select the option you want to change with the cursor keys
or
.
Press the Enter key.
Press the
ESC
key to exit the selected menu.
For future reference, make a note of the changes you have made (for example, in this manual).
Exiting BIOS Setup Utility
BIOSSetupUtility
You need to select the desired option in the Save & Exit me nu and activate it by pressing the Enter key:
Save Changes and Exit - Save the changes and exit the BIOS Setup Utility
To save the current menu settings and exit the BIOS Setu p Utility,select
Save Changes and Exit an d Yes.
The device is reboo ted and the new settings come into effect.
Discard Changes and Exit - Discard changes and exit the BIOS Setup Utility
Select Discard Changes and Exit and Yes to discard the changes you have made.
The settings which applied when BIOS Setup Utility wascalledupremaineffective.
The BIOS Setup Utility is terminated and the device is rebooted.

Using the
Security Lock
You r device has a Security Lock device. Using the Security Lock device and the
Kensington Lock cable (steel cable, accessory) you can protect your device against
theft. Consult the manual for your Kensington Lock Microsaver.
The Security Lock can also be used to protect the recovery button behind
it against unau thorized actuation. The recovery button is on the right-hand
side of the system behind the Security Lock device (2).
