Removing and installing components
during servicing
Installing a hard disk
If you are installing more than one component at the same time, keep the screws for
the individual components s epa rately from each other and make sure that you use the
correct screws. If you install the wrong screws, components may be damaged.
To prevent damaging the connecting cable and contacts, do not pull sharply
on the cable and always hold the cable at th e plug.
Take care not to trap the connecting cable undern eath the hard disk.

► Insert the har
d disk in the hard disk service compartment (1) and hold it at a slight angle.
► Connect the co nnecting cable plug to the hard disk.
► Place the har
d disk in the hard disk service compartment (3). Take care
not to trap t
he connecting cable (a).
► Secu re the hard disk with the screws (4).
Finishing component removal
After you
have removed or changed the syst em components as you required, please
prepare
your device for operation again as follows:
► Install
the battery again (see "
Inserting battery", Page 33).
► Turn the notebook the right way up again and place it on a flat surface.
► Reconn
ect the cables that you disconnected before.
