► Position the battery at the edge.
► Insert the battery into the battery compartment until it engag es p ositively (1).
► Slide the release button in the direction of the arrow (2).
► Complete the removal, se e chapter "

The design of your notebook enables the flexible use of notebook batteries and drives. The
following m odular bay devices can be operated in the m odu lar bay of your note book:
• Second battery
• Second hard disk drive
•DVDRWdrive
•Blu-rayBD-Wdrive
• Weight Saver
• LIFEBOOK Bay Projector
Only use modular bay devices designed for your notebook.
Do not use force when installing or removing the modular bay devices.
Make sure that no foreign objects enter the modular bay.
You can swap modular bay devices during operation. This means y ou
do not need t o switch off the notebook.
Log off th e modular bay device via the corresponding symbol in the task bar.
The modular bay device c an now be removed without any further actions being necessary.
