Programming the application keys
With the Application Panel you can assign various funct ions to the application keys.
Windows XP
You will nd the Application Panel under Start - (Settings) - Control Pan e l - Additio nal
Control Panel Options - App lica tio n P anel.
Windows Vista and Windows 7 :
You will nd the Application Panel under Start symbol - Programs - Lifebook Application Panel.
Touchpad and touchpad buttons
Keep the touchpad clea n. Protect it from dirt, liquids and grease.

Do not use the touchpad if your ngers are dirty.
Do not rest heavy objects (e.g. books) on the touchpad or the touchpad buttons.

The touchpad enables you to mo ve the mouse pointer on the screen.
The touchpad buttons allow y ou to select and execute c ommands. They correspon d
to the buttons on a conventional mouse.
You can use a k ey comb ination to disable the touchpad, to avoid accidentally moving
the pointer on the screen (see also "
Key combinations", Page 25).
Moving the pointer
Mo ve your nger on the touchpad.

Press down g ently with your nger on the TouchStick. If you wan t to m ove the pointer
to t he left for example, press down gen tly on the left side of the TouchStick.
The pointer will move.
