which will help you with your notebook.

Please follow the safety n otes provided in the "Safety/Regu lations" manua l
as well as the safety notes given below.
Please pay special attention to the sections in the ma nual marked
with the symbol on the left.
When connecting and disconn ecting cables, observe the relevant
notes in this operating manual.
Read the information on the ambient conditions in the "
Technical da ta",
Page 78 and "First-time setup of your de vice", Page 15 before preparing you r
notebook for use and switching it on for the rst time.
When cleaning the device, please observe the relevant notes in th e
section "
Clean ing the notebook", Page 14.
Pay attention to the additional safe ty notes for devices with radio components
provided in the "Safety/R egulatio ns" manua l.
Please refer to the notes in the chapter "
Removing and installing
components during servicing", Page 61.

Additional safety notes for devices with
radio components

If a radio component (Wireless LAN, Bluetooth, UMTS) is integrated in your no tebook, you
must be sure to observe the following safety notes when using y our notebook:
Switch off the radio components when you are in an aircraft or driving in a car.
Switch off the radio components when you are in a hospital, an operating room or near a medical
electronics system. The transmitted radio waves can impair the operation of medical devices.
Switch off the radio components when you let the device ge t ne ar ammable
gases or into hazardous environments (e.g. p etrol station, paintshops), as the
transmitted rad io waves can cause an explosion or a re.
