Removing and insta lling the batte ry
Only use batteries approved by Fujitsu fo r your notebook.
Never use force w hen tting or removing a battery.
Make sure that no foreign bodies get into the battery connection s.
Never store a battery for long periods in the discharged state. This
can m ake it impossible to recharge.
Removing the battery

Remove the power plug fr
om the mains outlet!
If the notebook is connected to a USB Type-C
TM
Port Replicator, r elease the USB
cable (USB Type-C
TM
) to disconnect the connection.
You can replace the rechargeable battery in the device without switching the
device off rst. The device has an integrated buffer battery for this purpose.
If the battery is unlocked while the device is in operating mode, Sleep Mode
will automatically be activa ted. Before removing the battery, check the battery
replacement status indicator (see "
Status indicators", Page 20).
Close the LCD screen.
Remove all the c
ables from the device.
Turn the device over and place it on a stable, at and clean surface. If necessary, lay an
anti-slip cloth on this surface to prevent the device from being scratched.

Slide the battery release in the direction of the arrow (1) and hold it in place.
