Troubleshooting and tips
Help if problems occur
Should you at any time have a problem with your computer that you can’t solve
yourself, in many case s you can quickly solve it by using the SystemDiagnostics
program which is pre-installed on your computer.
The SystemDiagnostics program is already installed on devices which were
delivered with a Windows o perating system.
► To s t a r t the SystemDiagnost
ics program, click on Startsymbol - Program - Fujitsu - SystemDiagnos tics.
► If a problem is found during a test run, the SystemDiagnostics program outputs
a c ode (e.g. DIFS-C ode YXXX12345 6789123).
► Ma ke a note of the outp ut DIFS
code and the identity number of your device. The identity
number can be found on the typ
e rating plate on the back of the casing.
► F o r further clarification of the problem, contact the Service Desk for your country (see the Service
Desk list or visit the Internet at "
http://ts.fujitsu.com/support/servicedesk.html"). When you do
this, please have ready the identity number and serial number of your system and the DIF S code.
The notebook’s date or time is incorrect

Cause Troubleshooting
Time and date are incorrect. ► W i th the BIOS -Setup-Utility, you can set the
date and time in th e main menu.
If the date and time are re peatedly incorrect when you switch on the notebook,
the built-in battery that supplies the internal clock has failed.

Battery indicator does not illuminate
Cause
Fault elimination
The battery is not installed correctly.
► Switch the notebook off.
► Ch eck whether the battery is installed
correctly in its compartm ent.
► Switch the notebook on.
The battery is fully discharged. ► Ch arge the batte ry.
or
► Install a charged battery.
or
► Co nnect the notebook to a mains outlet
using the mains adapter.
