Touchpad and touchpad buttons
Keep the touchpad clean. Protect it from dirt, liquids and grease.

Do not use the touchpad if your fingers are dirty.
Do not rest heavy objects (e.g. books) on the touchpad or the touchpad buttons.

The touchpad enables you to mo ve the mouse pointer on the screen.
The touchpad buttons allow y ou to select and execute c ommands. They correspon d
to the buttons on a conventional mouse.
You c an use a key combination to disable the touchpad, to avoid accidentally moving
the pointer on the screen (see a lso "
Key combinations", Page 45).
Moving the pointer
► M ove yo ur finger on the touchpad.

The pointer will move.
Selectinganitem
► M ove the pointer to the item you wish to selec t.
Touchpad
► Tap the touchpad once or press the left b utton once.
The item is selected.
Executing commands
► M ove the p ointer to the field you wish to select.

► Tap the touchpad twice or p ress the left button twice.
The command is executed.
