Optional wireless components Wireless LAN
/BlueTooth/UMTS
The installation of radio c ompone nts not approved by F ujitsu Techn ology Solutions
will invalidate the certifications issued for this device.
Depending on the device configuration you ordere d, your device will be
equipped with Wireless LAN, Bluetooth and / or UMTS.
Switching the wireless components on and off
Before switching on your device for the first time, the on/off switch for
radio components must b e in the "ON" position.
► Slide the ON/OFF switch into the "ON"
position to activate the radio c omponent s.

► Slide the ON/OFF switch to the
"OFF" position to deactivate the
radio components.
If you switch o
ff the radio components, the wireless LAN transmission unit (antenna)
and, if presen
t, the Bluetooth and UMTS module will also be switched off.
You can enable
and disable the installed radio components individually
using the Wire
lessSelector programme
You can also dea
ctivate the wireless components individually in the BIOS Setup.
For this to occ
ur, you must either not have assigned a s uperviso r password or if a
supervisor p
assword has been assigned, you must know this password.
