Working with the notebook
SIM card
A SIM Card (Subscriber Identity Module) is a chip card which is inserted in a mobile telephone or
notebook to enable access to a mobile radio network in conjunction with an installed UMTS module.
Follow the instructions supplied by the provider of the SIM card.
The SIM card slot is located in the battery compartment and can only
be accessed when the battery is removed.
Inserting the SIM card
Prepare for insertion of the SIM card, see chapter "Preparing to remove components", Page 91.
If necessary, ope n th e clip (a) of the SIM card.

Slide the SIM card into the slot (1)
until it engages, as show n in the
battery compartment.
Slide the SIM card lock (a) in the
direction of the arrow (2).
Complete the insertion, see chap ter "
Finishin g component removal", Pa ge 97.
Removing a SIM card
Prepare fo

Slide the SIM card lock (a) in the
direction of the arrow (1).
Press on t
he edge of the S IM card so that
it jumps
up slightly out of the slot.
Pull the SIM card out of the slot in the
direction of the arrow (2).
Complete the removal, see chapter "
Finishing com ponent removal", Page 97.
