Status indicators Description
Battery charging indicator/po
wer connector
The charging state of the batter
y is shown by the rechargeable battery
indicator.
With mains adapter connected:
• The indicator lights up blue:
The battery is fully c harged.
• The indicator lights up orange: The battery is charging.
• The indicator flashes oran
ge: The mains adapter is connected but the
battery cannot be charged
as the batte ry is too hot or too cold for
charging. The charging p
rocess is continued as soon as the battery
has reached a permissibl
e tempe rature again.
• The indicator is off: The system is in battery operation and the mains
adapter is not connected.

Drive indicator
DriveIndicator
The indicator is lit:
One of the drives (e.g. hard disk, CD/DVD) is being
accessed.
Num Lock indicator

keypad is activate
d. You can output the characters ind icated on the upper
right of the keys.
Caps Lock indicator

The indicator is lit: The Caps Lock key has been pressed. All the characters
you type will appear in upper case. In the case of overlay keys, the
character printed on the upper left of the key will appear when that key
is pressed.
Wireless compon ents indicator
• The indicator is lit: The wireless components are switched on.
• The indicator is not lit: The wireless components are switched off.
• The indicator is flashing: vPro is activated. The radio components are
enabled when the notebook is in standby mode, hibernate mode or
is switched off.
