Connecting the notebook to the Port Replicator
The mains adapter must be connected to the Port Replicator when the
notebook is connected to the Port Replicator.

Positioning a closed device
► Remove the mains plug for the mains adapter from the mains socket.
► Disconnect the mains adapter cable from the DC input connector (DC IN) of the notebook.

► Before docking, open the unlocking lever (1).
► If the devic
e is closed, the Port Replicator and notebook can be positioned easily, a s

g levers on the Port Replicator are clearly visible. Po sition the notebook so
that it is i
n line with the back e dge of the Port Replicator (2).
► Place the notebook on the Port Re plicator, press do wn centrally on the edg e (3, on the
same side as the hinge joint) and ensure that t he notebook engages.
