Working with the notebook
Positioning an open device
► Remove the mains plug for th e mains adapter from the mains socket.
► Disconnect the mains adapter cable from the DC socket (DC IN ) of the notebook.

► Before docking, open the unlocking lever (1).
► If the device is open, the locking levers on the Port Replicator are not visible. Position
the notebook so that it is in line with the back ed ge of the P ort Replicator (2 ).
Check the position of the locking levers using your fingers.
► Place the notebook on the Port R eplicator, press down centrally on the edge (3, on the
same side as the hinge joint) and ensure tha t the notebook engag es.
