❖ Registering fingerprint
Register your fingerprint for authentication.
･ To use fingerprint authentication without the alternative
unlock method, register 2 or more fingerprints.
･ Up to 10 items can be registered.

From the Home screen, → [Settings] → [Lock
& Security]
→ [Register/Delete fingerprint]
･ When a security unlock preference which requires
authentication is selected, authentication is required. If
you have already registered a fingerprint and a security
unlock preference is not set, authentication is required.

Select a finger to register → [START
REGISTRATION] → Slide your finger by
following the message, but not press the
fingerprint sensor.
･ Register second fingerprint in the same operation.
Delete the registered fingerprint : Select the fingerprint to
delete
→ [YES]
･ If the alternative unlock method is not set when the
security unlock preference is set to [Fingerprint], you
cannot delete the registrations if there are 2
registrations in all.

Follow onscreen instruction to set as the
alternative security unlock preference
→
[DONE]
❖ Operating fingerprint authentication

When a fingerprint authentication screen is
displayed, slide the registered finger on the
fingerprint sensor
･ If the authentication failed, remove the finger from the
fingerprint sensor and try the authentication again.
◆ Smart Lock
Set the method to unlock the screen lock when connecting
from an external device or by face recognition.
･ Set a security unlock preference which requires
authentication in advance.→P118

Set required items
･ For details on Smart Lock, refer to Help by tapping →
[Help].
◆ Password manager
Register and manage your authentication information such as
an ID (account) or password. You can quote the registered
contents to enter.→P36
･ Set a security unlock preference which requires
authentication in advance.→P118
･ Up to 50 items can be registered.
