-7460 and -7480
As the smallest A3 format scanners in their
class* capable of scanning even A2 and A1 size
documents the -7460 and -7480 are perfect
for ofce use. Versatile feeding capability runs
from regular A8 to A3 sizes, and extends to
folded A2 and A1 documents as well as plastic
cards. Mixed batch scanning eliminates the
need to sort documents in advance.
These effective and versatile scanners feed paper-based information
smoothly into the business workow. They scan a wide range of
documents with minimum operator effort and maximum care.
Advanced paper-handling features include iSOP - a unique paper
protection function based on acoustic sensors, which reduces the risk
of documents being damaged during image capture. The scanners’
built-in Skew Reducer eliminates the risk of physical skew being
carried over from one sheet to the next.
The -7460 and -7480 can handle a wide variety of document types,
sizes and characteristics. Their dependable paper feed mechanism
copes reliably with paper thickness from 27 to 413 g/m
2
. The 100-sheet
automatic document feeder allows documents to be added mid-scan.
Colour documents can be scanned through the -7460 at 60 ppm /
120 ipm, ensuring unmatched cost-performance. Where faster
operation is needed, the -7480 offers solid 80 ppm / 160 ipm
performance with high-quality results. A USB 3.0 interface ensures fast
transmission of scanned imagery to the computer.
A backlight enhanced LCD screen within the operating panel puts
instant information at the user’s ngertips, including scanner
settings, operating status and a paper counter. PaperStream Capture
scanning routines can be initiated from here as well. Scanner Central
Admin software enables the -7460 and -7480 to be managed and
maintained along with other Fujitsu scanners from a single location.
These models introduce advanced new features and enterprise-class
proven technology. Ultrasonic multifeed detection alerts double
feeds even within batches of mixed thickness documents, whilst
intelligent multifeed detection allows predetermined areas to be
discounted from triggering false alert. The -7460 and -7480 also
feature an Intelligent Sonic Paper Protection Function that works
by sensing the audible noise of paper being fed. This stops paper
feeding when an irregular noise is encountered.
Bundled with the -7460 and -7480 scanners are PaperStream IP*
and PaperStream Capture* which are a genuinely developed TWAIN
and ISIS scanner driver and capturing software application, designed
for enhanced image processing and batch scanning.
An optional imprinter unit is available for the -7460/-7480, which
prints identication markers like dates, alphanumeric codes and
symbols on the reverse side of original documents. Originals of
scanned documents can be located whenever required.
