The midrange model M4000 scales up to 4 SPARC64VI dual core
CPUs or up to 4 SPARC64VII quad core CPUs thus having up to
16 cores, and supports Memory Chipkill and memory mirroring.
Furthermore, the model M4000 include built-in features such as
Dynamic System Domains, eXtended system boards, and
Dynamic Reconfiguration.
Compared to the model M4000 the M5000 scales up to 8
SPARC64VI dual core or 8 SPARC64VII quad core CPUs thus
having up to 32 cores, with the same mission-critical features.
Like the model M8000 the SPARC Enterprise Servers M9000
models address the mid-range and high-end processing
requirements of mission-critical IT projects. There are two different
floorstand models, the SES M9000-32 with 32 sockets and SES
M9000-64 with 64 sockets
This extended 4-way midrange rack server provides up to
The entry model T1000 incorporates the UltraSPARC T1
processor. This processor delivers with it s 8 cores up to 32
simultaneous execution threads and 32 GB of memory. The
SPARC Enterprise T1000 model also offers 1 free PCIe slots, 4
integrated Gigabit Ethernet interfaces and 1 SATA disk bay.
The new Fujitsu SPARC Enterprise server T5440 like T5140
and T5240 using the new UltraSPARC T2 Plus chip-
multithreading (CMT) processor - is setting new standards in the
market for network centric computing, energy efficiency and
compute density, providing the ideal platform particularly for larger
web and applica-tion tier services and for online transaction
processing and technical workloads. This new model extends the
existing CMT platform to 4-socket multiprocessor systems. Built-
in, no-cost virtualization capabilities in the server also enables
customers to easily maximize system utilization, helping to lower
the cost of delivering new IT services.
The entry model T2000 also incorporates the UltraSPARC T1
processor. This processor delivers with it s 8 cores up to 32
simultaneous execution threads and 64 GB of memory. The
SPARC Enterprise T2000 also offers 5 free PCI-E slots (3x PCI-E
and 2x PCI-X), 4 integrated Gigabit Ethernet interfaces and 4 SAS
disk bay.
The high end model SES M8000 scales up to 16 SPARC64VI dual
core CPUs or 16 SPARC64VII quad core CPUs thus having up to
64 cores. With symmetric multiprocessing (SMP) scalability from
one to 16 processors, memory subsystems as large as 1.024 GB,
and high-throughput I/O architectures. Furthermore, the model
M8000 includes built-in features such as Dynamic System
Domains, eXtended system boards, and Dynamic Reconfiguration.
The model M3000 is a new 1-socket entry-level to the SPARC64 VII
based family. The M3000 server uses the SPARC64 VII quad-core
processor with 2.52 GHz and large 5 MB L2 cache. Each of the cores
can issue two threads simultaneously. The M3000 model also offers
in a space saving compact 2 RU form factor - up to 32 GB memory (8
DIMM slots), 4 hot-plug disk bays and 4 free PCIe slots in addition to
the four onboard GbE network interfaces. RAS features include
redundant power supplies and fans, core offlining, extended ECC
protection, dynamic cache degradation and the eXtended System
Control Facil-ity (XSCF) tool that enables remote and overall hardware
monitoring
